What happens and when
| When | What happens | Your part |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1, the call | We ask what you hear or find, where and when, and give a starting price | Tell us your suburb and where the activity is |
| Day 1 to 3, first visit | Inspection, written price, stations and traps placed, main gaps sealed | Access to the house, roof manhole and yard |
| Week 1 to 2 | Rodents feed at the stations and activity drops | Store food sealed, tell us if noise continues |
| About 2 weeks, follow up | Stations checked, remaining gaps closed once activity stops | Access to the outside of the house |
| Same day | Photo report sent and warranty confirmed in writing | Keep the report for your records |
What happens on the first visit
We start where you have seen or heard activity, then work outwards. Inside, that means the kitchen, pantry, laundry and the spaces behind appliances. Outside, we walk the whole yard looking for burrows, runways, rub marks and droppings, then check the roof space from the manhole and the sub floor where it can be reached.
Once we know whether it is rats or mice and how they are getting in, you get the price in writing. With your agreement we place locked stations and traps along their routes, and seal the main gaps the same day where the rodents are not living inside them.
Before we leave we show you where every station is, explain what you might notice over the next week and what to do if anything changes.
The follow up and your photo report
After one to two weeks we come back, check every station, record the activity and close any remaining gaps once the rodents inside are gone. Sealing a building while rodents are still living in it only traps them inside, which is why the order matters.
You then get a photo report showing every point we sealed, which is also the record for the warranty. If rodents get back in through one of those points, we come back and fix it.
Before we arrive

Questions about the process
Talk to us directly. We will tell you honestly what the job needs and roughly what it costs.
Call 0435 072 221How long does rodent control take from start to finish?
Most homes go quiet within one to two weeks of the first visit. The follow up check confirms the activity has stopped before the final gaps are closed.
Do I need to be home?
For the first visit it helps, so we can look inside, check the kitchen and roof manhole and talk through the plan. The follow up can often be done with access arranged.
What if I still hear noises after the treatment?
Tell us. Some activity in the first week is normal while the rodents find the stations. If it continues past that, we come back and look again.
Will you go inside my roof space?
Where it is safe to do so. We check from the manhole and walk the roof space only where the ceiling joists allow it.
What happens to the stations after the job?
Stations stay in place while there is activity. Once it has stopped we either collect them or leave locked monitoring stations in place, whichever you prefer.
