Rodent control for Melbourne businesses
For a business, one rat seen by a customer or an inspector is one too many. Commercial rodent control is about keeping activity at zero and being able to show it.
We work with cafes, restaurants, takeaway shops, bakeries, grocers, warehouses, factories, offices, childcare centres, schools and strata buildings across Melbourne. Each site gets a plan built around its layout, its trading hours and where rodents are most likely to get in.
The core of a commercial program is a set of numbered, locked monitoring and bait stations placed around the outside of the building and in key areas inside. Each station is checked at every visit, activity is recorded, and you receive a station map and a service report.
We also look at the building itself. Gaps under roller doors, around pipes and in loading docks are the usual way rodents get into commercial premises, and sealing them makes every visit after that easier and cheaper to manage.
- Numbered stations and a site map
- Service report after every visit
- Visits planned outside trading hours on request

Rodent control and food safety rules
Food businesses in Australia must take all practicable measures to stop pests entering and living on the premises. This comes from the Food Standards Code (Standard 3.2.2, Food Safety Practices and General Requirements), which Victorian councils enforce through their food safety inspections.
In practice an inspector will look for signs of rodents, how gaps and doors are sealed, how food and waste are stored, and whether you have a pest control program in place. Service reports and a station map are a simple way to show that you do.
We give you a report after every visit, keep the station map up to date and tell you straight away if we find something that needs fixing, such as a damaged door seal or a new gap at the loading dock.
For strata buildings, bin rooms and car parks are usually the problem areas, and the work is normally arranged through the owners corporation or strata manager. We can quote and report to them directly.

Commercial Rodent Control questions
Talk to us directly. We will tell you honestly what the job needs and roughly what it costs.
Call 0435 072 221Do you provide rodent control for restaurants and cafes?
Yes. We set up locked station programs for cafes, restaurants, takeaways and other food businesses across Melbourne, with a report after every visit.
How often should a business have rodent control?
It depends on the site and the risk. Many food businesses have a visit every month or every second month. We recommend a frequency after the site survey.
Do you work outside business hours?
Yes, on request. We plan visits around your trading hours where we can.
Will I get records for council inspections?
Yes. You receive a station map and a service report after each visit, which you can keep with your food safety records.
How is commercial rodent control priced?
Each site is quoted in writing after a survey, because size, layout and visit frequency vary a lot.
Do you seal the building as well?
Yes. We recommend and carry out proofing work such as roller door seals, pipe gap sealing and vent covers, quoted separately.
Ready to get rid of the rodents?
Treatment, gaps sealed and a 6 month written warranty on sealed points.
